Wedding is an occasion which demands everything unique. Wedding decoration is one of the most fascinating and interesting part of the wedding.

Whether marriage is traditional or contemporary, a decoration is a vital part of the grand occasion.

Since a lot of guests are making their way for the wedding party, the entire show must be presentable.

Wedding decorations are of many types. Friends can help you in deciding which decoration can best suit.

Few things must be considered before deciding any type of decoration. You might have allocated budget for everything concerned with marriage. Budget set on decoration my also depend on the area which has to be covered for decorations.

If you are arranging the party in your home, then you can save lots of bucks. But paying for the decorations for the banquet hall or restaurant can be quite expensive.

You can hire a good decorator for the party. First thing you can do is to collect a catalogue of decorators. You can check online some of their best works. You can briefly have a chat with some of the people who have taken the benefit of their services.

Before finalizing things, check the proficiency of the person whom you have rendered responsibility from some of his previous clients.

Floral decorations have always been in great demand. The flowers can be put on the walls, ceilings or at the prominent places. Decorating vases with colored flowers can also add to the beauty. Fragrance and sight of the flowers are considered good for every occasion. Frozen rose petals accompanied with silk flowers have fewer chances to be crushed. They can be used more easily than bubbles during the bridal exist from the church. You can also decorate a high ceiling venue with an extra ordinary spirit by a few well planned balloon arrangements. Decorations give a romantic touch to the entire celebration. All in all, a wedding decor should be such that it mesmerizes everyone’s senses

Make a brief survey and check the suitability regarding prices. If your budget is limited, then just go for simple decorations. But if you can spend lavishly, then the sky is the limit.

Lights are good for the night parties. For the open garden parties, vibrant lights set the party moods. If you are having a dance ball in your party, then different shades of light can be added.

Putting elegant furniture on the venue of the party gives a royal look to the entire show. Candles can be put on individual table or you can simply go for the flower arrangements to be put on every table.

Apart from these, you can put on the hanging bells with ribbons. You can put in your best imagination for the decorations. Don’t go for too much material that not only looks messy but also hamper the movement of the people around.

For the buffet meals, round tables can be put at different places so that your guests may not face inconvenience while taking food. It will also help the children and old in the crowd to have a seat and enjoy the dishes.

One more thing you can do is to put in your best imaginations and work on it. Simply, tell your decorator your requirements, your planning and ready to see the results. So go ahead and start the wedding decoration plans.

I am seeking some advice on my colors in the wedding. My wedding will be October
2010 and my colors are Chocolate, Dark red(kinda like the fruit, strawberry) and Ivory. I have already purchased
the book w/pen, pillow, flower basket in ivory. I am thinking about getting a
dark red wedding gown and chocolate/ivory bridesmaid dresses. Also I was
thinking about putting Dark red and Chocolate petals lightly spread over the
ivory table clothes around the candles, the same petals the flower girl will be
tossing. The has white/ivory flower arrangements for the ceremony already provided
by the arch and also same flowers in the arch.

Do you think those colors will look good together?
Would you use just ivory flowers for the bride and bridesmaid with those colors?
Should the groom and groomsmen be in black or ivory?
Any other ideas that I can consider?
Do you know of any where I can find a red brides gown?(if you have any websites
are pictures please send and also for chocolate bridesmaid dresses)
Any information will be a HUGE help!!

Here are pictures of the hall, the bridal gown(might see if I can get it alittle darker like a strawberry fruit) that I picked so far and
bridesmaid dresses. (If you know of any other dresses that I might like please
send.. Im kinda plain, but I love different) Thanks for your help and time!!

Dawnielle
cloths* & The hall has white/ivory flower arrangements* (sorry for the typos up top LOL….

I also want to add.. Please understand I am not overreacting or rushing anything with the wedding. I am just looking for answer to coordinate my colors and get advice before I do start puchasing things for the wedding. The only reason I have bought the few things I meantioned above is a long story due to money invested in a bridal shop towards a wedding I was not standing in anymore and could not get my money back just an in-store trade.. Also on that note, I do know it is never too early to start planning or buying things for your wedding esp. when you and your fiance is paying for the entire wedding..Its so much easier to buy as you go then all at once b/c nothing is cheap these days!! :)
Wow sister, breathe! You’re overreacting just a tiny bit. It’s 12 months away, yes, but give yourself a weekend off or something. Don’t think about it.
The colors look wonderful together! When in doubt, though, always go for black and white. You can add the bright colors in sparingly. Looks like you have everything figured out, though. I mean, your bridesmaid dresses match the hall? Yeah, don’t overstress. You’re on top of things. :)

Wedding save the date cards have become fashionable in recent years. Many modern couples are choosing to send save the date announcements and their popularity continues to grow. But should you consider sending save the date cards for your wedding? Here are the top seven reasons that save the date cards might be the right choice for you.

1. You’re planning to invite a lot of guests from out of town. If you have friends and loved ones spread out across the country or even the world, a save the date card gives them extra time to make travel arrangements. By sending out save the date announcements 6 - 12 months before the wedding, those far away guests will have the opportunity to book flights and hotels at better rates.

2. You’re having a destination wedding. There is a growing trend to choose fun and exotic locales for a wedding, such as Hawaii, the Caribbean or Las Vegas. If you’ve decided on a destination wedding and are hoping your invited guests will be able to come along, it’s a good idea to give them as much time as possible to plan. Sending save the date cards will give them the chance to schedule vacation time and make travel arrangements.

3. You’ve set your wedding date around the holidays or typical peak summer vacation time. If the date you’ve selected is around Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, even Columbus Day weekend, your guests may make other plans unless you alert them well in advance with a save the date card. Let people know your wedding date before they make vacation plans, and you have a better chance they will attend.

4. You’re seriously hoping that most of the people you invite to your wedding will attend. Even if your wedding will be in your hometown, with mostly local people invited, on a day that shouldn’t conflict with holidays or vacations, save the date cards can help you achieve more positive RSVPs to your wedding invitation. People have increasingly busy lives and are always making plans. Since your actual wedding invitation will only go out 6 - 12 weeks before the big day, your potential guests may have already made plans by the time they receive it. If they know in advance the date for your wedding, they won’t schedule anything else that day.

5. You’re just so excited that you’ve set the date that you can’t keep the news to yourself. Save the date cards can double as engagement announcements, letting people know that you’re engaged and have set the date for your wedding.

6. You want to show off your fiance’ to all your friends and relatives who have never met him. You can send photo save the date cards and everyone can see the love and happiness on your faces. In fact, the latest trend in photo cards is to include multiple photos on your save the dates, so you don’t have to settle on just one picture.

7. They’re fun! There are no rules and no etiquette, so your save the date cards can be unique and imaginative. They can reflect your personalities, hobbies, time of year you plan to get married, wedding destination, bold colors or just about anything you like. There are scratch-off save the date cards and save the date magnets. It’s your chance to grab everyone’s attention.

So with all these great reasons to send wedding save the date cards, is there any reason you shouldn’t? Well, because save the date cards are an optional gesture, you don’t have to send them if your budget is extremely tight. This is not an absolutely necessary expense, if you’re strapped for cash. No one will get mad at you or feel slighted if you decide you can’t afford to send them.

But for everyone else, save the date wedding cards are a fun way to share your happy news. If you want to guarantee that your guests will mark their calendars and save the date for your wedding, nothing works as well as save the date cards.

Wedding favors are small gifts that are given to your wedding guests to show your appreciation for their attendance. They also serve as souvenirs to remember your wedding by. Your favors should fit well with your wedding’s theme and colors, as well as with the couple’s personalities.

Before buying favors, take your budget into consideration. Personalized favors, for instance, make wonderful keepsakes, but are more expensive than ones that are not personalized. While there’s nothing wrong with splurging on favors, make sure there’s room in the budget for the other things you consider important in your wedding before you do.

If you are the practical type, you might want to give your guests something that is useful as well as commemorative. Key chains make great wedding favors, and they are something that almost everyone uses. You could get them in a design that goes with your wedding theme, or have them personalized with the couple’s names and wedding date. Bookmarks are another useful and easily personalized item. Even small household items, such as measuring spoons and coasters, are available with wedding motifs.

If your wedding has a distinctive theme, you can take cues from that theme to help choose your wedding favors. If you are having a western wedding, for example, you could give your guests western-themed candles or candleholders, or items with cowboy hat or boot designs. In a beach wedding you could use flip-flop or surfing inspired favors. Garden themes can be commemorated with flower or watering can items.

What if you’ve found your dream wedding favors, but they don’t come in the colors you’re using? You can easily doctor them up to match. Pouches, small pails, and tulle circles can be found in most colors, and your favors can be put inside them. Ribbon can be used by itself to accent favors, or to tie up the tulle circles. Silk or freshly picked flowers in the colors of your wedding also make great accents.

If you have the time to create them, handmade wedding favors are a sincere way to show your guests that you truly appreciate them. It’s not necessary to make anything elaborate. Simply taking the time to put some candy in a small tin and pretty it up with ribbon will make your guests feel special. If you are a crafter at heart, you could make small items such as key chains or magnets for your guests. Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to complete them.

Your wedding favors serve as tokens of gratitude to your wedding guests, remembrances of your ceremony, and reflections of your personality. There are a wide variety of favors available for purchase, or you can make your own. Choosing the right ones should be an easy and fun part of your wedding planning.

I am trying to plan a wedding. We don’t have a lot of money right now for anything super fancy. So we are tying to plan on a low budget.
What are some ways to help keep the cost down? Most specifically how to keep the cost down for the reception, but the whole wedding in general would be helpful too.
Thanks!
thanks!
all this will help a ton!
Not sure if we have a sams club. We usually shop at the comissary. (new to this town). but we will look.
Thanks for all the help! I appreciate it all!

Here on some tips on a budget wedding we did all of this for 1500 dollars and we used a church my fiance is a member of so it was free.
-I got my dress from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie… It took about a month for me to receive it and im getting it pressed right before the wedding because since it shipped from china it was stuffed in a box but it looks just like the photo its beautiful for a great price.
-We went to a craft store and got silk flowers and did all the bouquets and boutonniere ourselves.
-Get a small wedding cake for your bridal party and maybe your parents and get either 1 or 2 (depending on how many people are coming) sheet cakes just simple to match the wedding cake. It will save you alot of money.
-Keep the number of bridesmaids low and groomsmen it will help cut costs.
-See if family friends will do photos. Just tell them you want them to take all the photos they can bc you aren’t having a photographer and have them email them to you. There are pretty high chances you will get a ton of good ones this way.
-Have family members aunts uncles mom grandma help cook things. That’s what we did and just having a buffet thing for food. We did chicken. potatoes, rigatoni and meatballs, veggies, fruit, and cookies and stuff. Then you don’t have to have a caterer.
-Get your plates cups napkins and such at a GFS market place if you have one near you or even dollar tree they have alot of that stuff.
-For wedding bands go to zales or walmart. When shopping for ours we found that they are the two cheapest places. He got his at walmart for 59 dollars and mine at zales for 149 dollars.
-Tux’s can add up quick so youll have to do some shopping around for a tux rental. We ended up paying almost 200 for my grooms but we wanted something rare. Or see if a friend or a parent has a tux he can borrow. Or just not even wear tux’s they could wear dress pants and button down shirts.
-For decorations pic colors that are popular with the season you are having you wedding in. Like in fall browns, oranges, and creams are easier to find. Near the fourth of july you might want red and white or blue and white. And so on.
-Use all white table cloths for reception tables and do nice decorations in you colors. White table cloths can be bought in bulk at www.dollartree.com. We used those and got mesh in the colors of wedding and did runners with the mesh down the tables in the colors then used confetti all over the runners with just 2 simple candles in the center then in a matching jar to the candles a single flower in each. Then on the bridal table parents table and cake tables we got colored nice table clothes.
-For the church you can go to craft stores and get bows made for cheap usually thats what we did and put a bow on every other church pew. It was simple yet nice. Thats all we did at the church.Oh and the church let us use these isle candles they had for free too.Heres the church photo and a photo of our centerpiece things.

And heres our cakes.
http://tinypic.com/r/a9ofew/4
We also used alot of fake rose petals everywhere for decor around the food too.

Hope this helped! =)

I’m getting married in a year and I am starting to look at different reception sites. I saw the Betsy Williams cottage and fell in love but I can’t find any information about it online. Another option is the Roger Williams Casino in Rhode Island.

It sounds beautiful! I had a hard time finding anything about wedding receptions too. But there is some contact information at the bottom of this page.

Good luck and Congrats!

Often associated with low prices, the word cheap brings to mind a myriad of images. Not only does cheap refer to cost, but it also can determine quality. To some, an item that is cheap may be poorly made, and in turn, not a good buy. To others, something cheap is a real bargain, and therefore, worth the low price they paid for a good value.

If you are planning a wedding and find yourself unable to purchase lavish wedding invitations, cheap stationery can still be a beautiful option. In fact, locating and buying cheap invitations is a breeze â?? just as long as you know where to find the inexpensive cards.

Keeping Your Tastes in Line with Your Budget

If the mounting costs behind throwing an extravagant party are worrisome, then think about ways you can keep your style, while lowering the price points. From the tiniest detail to the grandest purchase, every cost adds up quickly. Going into debt before you are united with your spouse may weigh heavy on your mind at this point. Start making smart decisions by finding high-quality, yet cheap wedding invitations.

Before giving up and heading to your local dollar store, take these tips on purchasing cheap â?? yet beautiful â?? wedding invitations into account. Not only will the tips listed here help you find the stationery that you desire, but they will also keep you on track in terms of your budget.

Shopping Online for Quality Deals

Online stationers are a great place to purchase cheap wedding stationery, as they often pass their overhead savings to you. By shopping online, you enjoy a wide variety of designs and styles, and you can purchase stylish, quality invitations at a fraction of the brick-and-mortar price. You also have the option of buying affordable invitations that you can print at home or bring to your local printer. If you buy the wedding invitations to bring to your printer, you can save a significant amount of money over the typical packages offered at your local stationer.

Consider buying a sample pack of the cheap invitations you are considering to give you peace of mind that they exhibit the high quality and design you desire.

You Donâ??t Have to Sacrifice Quality

The words â??cheapâ? and â??low qualityâ? do not have to be synonymous. Your online stationer can give you access to an abundance of cheap wedding invitations that still exhibit high quality and modern design. Your wedding stationery should feel luxurious in your hands. Sturdy card stock is the real determinant of a good deal.

Sprucing up Cheap Wedding Invitations

You can personalize any type of stationery, and thus, you may want to consider purchasing plain, cheap wedding invitations that you can modify yourself. With a few improvements, blasé wedding cards can be transformed into miniature works of art. Shakers of glitter, rolls of ribbon, and bags of beads can make ordinary stationery charismatic in a matter of minutes.

No matter how much you plan to spend on wedding invitations, one thing is certain. You donâ??t have to take out a loan to afford quality stationery designed to make your special day even more unbelievable.

1.) It will probably save you money. Because of industry knowledge and experience wedding planners have a realistic idea of cost and can warn you if what you want is likely to be twice your budget. Many brides may make uninformed choices that end up being incredibly costly. Having a clear concept of costs from the beginning is crucial to staying within your budget. Additionally, a wedding planner can give you suggestions and recommendations for compromise that will help you keep costs at a minimum.

2.) Recommended Vendor List. Most wedding planners have a list of recommended vendors that they have established relationships with. These working relationships are based on trust and familiarity. Only worthy vendors are put on this list. In some cases these vendors may even offer you a discount or complimentary upgrade because you were sent to them by your planner.

3.) Neutral Party. Unlike any family member or friend a Wedding Planner can give be supportive without being emotionally involved. You are her client, she appreciates you, respects you but is not otherwise emotionally involved in your actual wedding. Having a calm, cool-headed planner can be incredibly valuable in case youâ??re swept away by the emotional roller coaster of planning your wedding.

4.) Minimizes your stress. Having a wedding planner is like having a wedding coach. She will instruct you, direct you, answer your questions and warn you of possible mishaps in advance. When the big day comes youâ??ll be relieved to know that everything had been taken care of in advance.

5.) The time you will save. Through a combination of consultation, a recommended vendor list and strategy using a professional wedding planner will save you tremendous amounts of time. Youâ??ll save hours of time from not having to search on-line or at Bridal shows for the things youâ??ll need.

6.) It simplifies communication with the venue. If you have one point of contact for the actual day of the wedding it will make things much easier for you and the venue. A wedding planner will make sure that your timeline is working with the venues timeline, and that way you never have to be interrupted by questions during the reception.

7.) You will get to enjoy and remember your Wedding Day. It will probably be the busiest and most emotionally exciting day of your life. You will want to enjoy it and remember it. Leaving the little details and mishaps to someone else to resolve.

8.) You will look better. When you are stressed out and preoccupied it shows on your face. But youâ??ve seen to all the details in advance and know that someone else is handling any potential mishaps you will be able to relax. And being carefree will be evident in your face and expressions. After all you will be having hundreds of pictures taken and looking at them for years to come. Youâ??ll want to look your absolute best.
