My boyfriend and I are planing to get married in 12-18 months. I have never planned a wedding and don't even know where to start.

I'm thinking about becoming a wedding planner and I want to know about how many weddings a wedding planner usually does at once? To make more money I would have to be doing more then one wedding at a time….so what do you think would be a good number of customers before I'm "booked"?

I personally would not, but I can see why someone might do that. Some of my younger male colleagues are very nervous about female students with crushes on them, and posting a wedding picture could signal clearly that you are happily married. I don't really like personal things on the class web page, but some people might put up things like sports (I know people who climb mountains, participate in triathlons, etc.), travel, and volunteer work or consulting activity. Some people will post a line about their spouses and kids, and about the community in which they live. I would be really turned off by anyone going into political beliefs or activities, or religious beliefs or activities unless it is a religious school.

It would be for about 500 guests, the food is already taken care of. But I am concerned about invitations, the hall costs, the church fees, my dress, the tuxedos, FLOWERS, photography, the cake, security, the DECORATIONS…I love ideas/suggestions for decorations as well. Cheap but classy. Please provide links or business names. It won't be until March of 2009, but planning between work and school is the reason I'm looking so soon. PLEASE HELP!! Much appreciated!

but here are some ideas for you just the same:

the invitations you can do them by yourself you can buy them at walmart real reasonable, the church should be a donation and generally its 100 dollars. your dress you can rent there are places you can do this, you could have someone make it for your , you could buy it off of ebay at a much cheaper price, i know many people whom have done that. Buy a planner called bridal bargains it tells you everything I bought this and its helped me out.. You could use silk instead of real much cheaper this way. Photographers are super spendy have cameras at your wedding and reception that are throw aways and have family and friends do your pictures much cheaper that way as well. I too am getting married june 2009

I agree with "The Five Love Languages." That's a great book! Also, a book that a friend gave me when I started to think that my husband might be "the one" back when we were dating - "Fit to be Tied" by Gary & Lynn Hybles. (I may have spelled their name wrong.) Very good, very realistic view of what to expect.

Are you moving to this country to work? If so, do you have a work permit? Have they asked to see it? If not, I would say it is a hoax - you need a work permit to gain employment in this country from overseas.

Don't bother emailing them to ask if it is genuine - if it is a hoax - they will just email back saying it is.

Find the number for BP from the internet or directory (NOT this email) and call and ask for the man quoted on the email. If he answers, ask him to confirm that you have been appointed as a member of staff.

Do not use any contacts on the email, as if it is a hoax, you will be asking the hoaxers if it is a hoax or not and they will obviously say no.
