Im making a list of photographs that i definitely want taken at the wedding so i am not disappointed. I feel like i might be missing some, but im not sure. Can any of you give me a list, then i can go through them and figure out which ones im forgetting? The wedding magazines only really give a basic list. Even some creative ideas would be nice.
I forgot to get the one of our two hands together showing our rings. I’ve always regretted that.
Also, we dont have one picture of me and him with my family alone. Plenty of us with his family, but none of us with mine. Dont forget basic ones like that. And make sure that you take an individual shot with each of your attendants alone (you with each bridesmaid) along with the group shots. I just did me and my MOH alone and I havent spoken to her since the day after the wedding (long story). I wish I had a shot of my other bridesmaid and myself to replace the shot of the MOH with in my album.
Creatively, my sister had one that I thought was really good, it was of the two of them running, but the photographer got it so that you could see the cocktail hour going on in the background and it looked like they were escaping, really a great shot.
I need to know what kind of sponsors/ padrinos I need to have for everything. I need a good checklist that gives this information so I can start planning my April 5 2008 wedding.

In general you can get a padrino for just about anything I've seen people have padrinos even for the flower petals for throwing at the bride! If you're having a church wedding then the padrinos that are a MUST are rings, pillows, arras (coins), and lazo which is the braided thing they put over your heads. If you want to find padrinos for everything involved in the wedding which would save you a lot of money you can ask friends and family to pitch in for the rest of the things. I'm also getting married april 5th, 2008 and I'm having padrinos for those 4 things as well as for the cake, alcohol, a music band, and my parents are covering some of the catering cost. On the wedding invitation only the church padrinos are listed. Hope this helped!
Alrighty…I just got engaged…**YAY**…I'm so excited!
Problem is, I don't know the first thing about planning a wedding….I will probably get married around Oct 2007…I've started making a scrapbook of ideas and found a dress thats to die for….I got a Wedding planner book…actually my fiance got it, but won't let me have it til Christmas!!! hehe
I'm on my own in a lot of ways…so I need girl advice on how to get started! Any tips, lists, suggestions, etc…would be much appreciated! Thanks!
The best thing to do is to go to the message boards on theknot.com. They have local boards so girls from your area can recommend vendors and also tell you which ones to stay away from. I had no idea where to start either but after being on there for a couple months, I've found a lot of GREAT deals, booked vendors I would have never heard of otherwise and gotten some great tips.
Book your reception and church as soon as possible- they book up fast (a lot of times it's a year in advance or more!). Then photographer, videographer (if you're having one), dress, bridesmaids dresses, and florist, etc. (Those are just the most important ones to get done).
And go to bridal shows! They start up again in January and you can find tons of great deals and win GREAT stuff! I've won waterford crystal toasting flutes, $500 off my dress, a bridal bouquet, a night in a suites hotel, $50 gift certificate to a florist, and a hand mixer! You'll definitely win stuff that will help you out!
i am planning to go to cancun on wed night or tuesday morning and return on the 6th in the evening and i want to use my miles, but united said that there are no flights. does anyone know any tricks of the trade to get a flight? i havnt booked my hotel yet, but i kind of dont want to book everything the night before.
any information will help.

The main issue is that there are flights but most airlines (United are one of them) have a quota of seats reserved for people paying with miles.
Once that quota is gone, it's highly unlikely that they will offer more of the same types of seats. I guess the only way for you to get a flight would be to pay cash/credit card, or even (if United allow it and if there is availability) pay 1 way with miles and the other wit cash/credit card. I would like to have a wedding on a private beach area in one of the country in Caribbean. My budget is about $3000-$5000 for a simple wedding ceremony and some photographs. I will only have 4-8 guests. Any suggestion for the locations or planning companies? Any information is good.

You need a birth certificate…I don't think a passport but check. Flights are not too bad depending on when you go. I think Spirit flies there cheap. Marriage is legally binding there, of course.
It's awesome. Magical. My brother got married on St Thomas. I find it a unexpectedly dangerous place when the sun goes down and I personally prefer St John but my brother wouldn't have changed a thing.
Mark can recommend places and services out of St Thomas also if you prefer.
I think Frenchmans Reef, St Thomas is a popular spot for weddings and that resort can manage the whole affair for you as well.
My husband an I stayed often at a place on St Thomas called Pavillions and Pools that was surpirsingly cheap. Every room was a large private suite with it's own huge built in swimming pool right in the room with you. Sure it's prolly gone now.
